When we arrived to collect our kitten from the 'magic mating' we were presented with our original 'pick of litter' Miranda and her sister, Jill Fyfe's 'pick of litter' Melissa.
We could not resist the kind offer of two litter sisters with this very special pedigree. We love Melissa's characteristic small ears, correct brow line and straight profile, nocturnal eyes and ........that pelt - like glass to touch, full of glitter and large donut rosettes.
Melissa was shown as a kitten four times at TICA Shows in the UK. She regularly 'finalled' and was the 10th Top Bengal Kitten in the World for a number of weeks on the official TICA Rankings .....and after attending only four shows !!
At her first Adult Shows she was regularly placed in Colour and Division - at Coventry in December she was 2nd Best of Colour from an entry of 18 Brown Spotted Bengals beating Grand Champions and Supreme Grand Champion males along the way.
At Scotland's first TICA Show on January 3rd, 2009, Melissa was well placed in every ring and became a CHAMPION by reaching the ALL BREED FINAL where she was placed 3rd from an entry of 60.
She gained her GRAND CHAMPION title at the TICA Show at Godmanchester in January 2009 aged just 9 months old. She gained Best of Breed from an entry of 22 Bengals on both Saturday and Sunday and achieved her title with a 4th and 6th place in the All Breed Finals.
On the 7th & 8th March, Mellisa gained points consistently at the Oneforall TICA Show and was ocne agin the highest place female. She made two finals finishing a very credible 4th All Breed to gain her DOUBLE GRAND CHAMPION title. There were 22 Bengals entered and 15 Brown Spotted Males. She beat three Supreme Grand Champion males to go Best of Breed. She now only needs points to become a Triple Grand Champion.
Now TICA have confirmed she gained enoug points for her TRIPLE GRAND CHAMPION title
